It's time for yet another metaphorical post on Odds&Ends. To begin, here's a pseudo-philosophical phrase that plays so well with the photo above: The tides are changing. The moment has come to leave the familiarity of dry boring land and test the water of new responsibilities and experiences before deciding to plunge into the sea that is corporate world.

I'm referring, of course, to my starting a 10-week internship which will then be followed, almost right after, by a year-long work placement. A huge part of what I'm feeling now is excitement but trepidation features as prominently. Sure, I've been doing laps in the swimming pool, but would that have sufficiently prepared me for a swim in the unchlorinated, salty and choppy water of the boundless sea? No matter what happens, I'll have Dory to remind me to just keep swimming.
