1/125s | f9 | 75mm | My new 50mm lens is great for portraits; posing for me here is Han Xin, my youngest brother.
I got myself a new 50mm (75mm on my Nikon D70) f1.8 lens and am impressed by its low price-to-performance ratio (am getting used to business-talk, hopefully to impress my line manager when my internship starts in a couple of weeks).
I would have very much liked a 70-200mm f2.8 lens but seeing that it goes for £1,150 and that I'm saving towards buying an island, the 50mm lens would do for now. And the thing is it's a huge investment for what is a dwindling passion. Like everything that I've self-taught and gotten sufficiently amateurish at (web-designing, most notably), I'm losing interest in photography and am looking for the next thing that would make life a little more interesting.
