I like having long hair. I like it more than parting my hair the other way just to confuse people and have them stare at me trying to put a finger on what's different. Having long hair helps tide my exceptionally pointy ears over the cold winter and it hides my true identity as Zegolas, prince of all elves. Saves me the trouble too of replacing the beanie I lost a few months back while skiing down the French alps at hair-raising speed.

I wish I could be as bold and adventurous with my hairstyle as I was on the slopes. I would never have the courage to perm my hair or give it the braided pigtail treatment my Chinese brothers have in period movies. I would not even dye it for the simple and highly opinionated reason that black hair is the new black. And also because having blond and long hair will surely make people draw comparison between me and the highland bull.
