As I approach 21 years of age and have trouble concentrating on understanding Linear Algebra, I look back upon my life and liken it to a walk along the beach. I notice that for the most part of my life, there has been only one set of footprints on the sand. I turn to God and ask Him why. He says, "My son, during your times of troubling trial and tribulation when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you".
"Aww... that's very sweet of you, God. No offence to your infinite wisdom and all-knowingness, but you've misunderstood my question. I meant to ask why haven't you sent someone like Alexis Bledel to walk alongside me? Have you forgotten the time I set you up with Venus? You told me it was the time of your eternal life!".
(awkward silence).
"Are you still there God? It's me, Neale Donald Welsch-wannabe".
