Profane, profound and has the purpose of delighting you with funny and politically-incorrect songs like "The Internet is for Porn", "If You Were Gay" and "Everyone's A Little Bit Racist". That's Avenue Q, a musical which features Sesame Street-esque animation, puppet sex and a satisfying mix of comedy and insights which hit the nail on the head about life. I especially like the finale song, "For Now" which is sung to the tune of "It Sucks To Be Me", the opening piece to Avenue Q; the song sums up the fact that everything in life is mecurial and evanescent. Happiness? It's only for now. George Bush; it's only for now too. Avenue Q; a must-watch!
