I interupt the normal inactivity-after-a-recent-post to bring you this breaking news: Odds&Ends has been xeroxed! It's shocking; arguably, a disaster on par with Sunday's devastation. Someone, without prior written permission from yours truly, has copied the design and coding of Odds&Ends. Even the comment tags scattered in the HTML source code (to help my future-self understand what does what) are cut and pasted on BW Photobloke's beta site (in case the site has gone down, here's the snapshot).
Please take note; purloin not;
Ponder and learn, but never steal.
Every glimpse you glance;
A step closer you'll get;
Light so bright; mighty great you'll feel. -zx
Apparently my subtle piece inserted in the HTML source code (right click and view source or see quote box) to remind people not to steal is lost on the bloke. The appeal, entitled Appeal, preaches on the importance of using the source code to learn and not using it to achieve the look and feel of Odds&Ends.
Still, I have to admit that imitation is the highest form of flattery. I'm flattered that my downright rotten coding ability is recognised and imitated. Dude, forget about copying Odds&Ends; I'm still using tables instead of positioning with CSS for goodness sake! Why not try Moluv for inspiration and ETC for awesome web-design related links? On a harsher note, stop the wholesale plagiarism or you'll be hearing from my non-existent lawyer.
