For a film like Eyes Wide Shut, you need to disregard the apparent; it's what's not seen that matters. In Stanley Kubrick's last directing effort (he died four days after submitting the final cut of the film), Tom Cruise plays Dr. Bill Harford who becomes disillusioned and goes on an "adventure" after his wife (played by Nicole Kidman) admits that she almost cheated on him.

Beyond the imageries, you'll find an endearing tale of lust and jealousy. As we follow Bill Harford on his "escapade", we learn how it's always a case of conflict between our carnal needs and what's right. His need to know, for one, puts him in the bad books of the wrong crowd. Slow-moving at first, Harford's brush with death sets the pace for a suspenseful movie.

Here's something you'll enjoy even with your eyes wide shut too: stand-up comedian Russell Peters! Peters' brand of comedy may be a tad on the racist side but it's all for a good laugh. Besides, he left no stones unturned; no one is spared from his jokes.

The photo above is cropped but not colour-corrected (except for making the pic black and white); the cat did have blue and green eyes! Don't think it has anything to do with contact lens. Turns out it's perfectly normal (and possible) for that cat (a White Oriental) to have "odd eyes", according to this site. Not that I understand the genetics part of the explaination.
