Busy, busy week it had been. Approx. 2 weeks to exams, you see, hence the lack of updates.
It's old news I know, but in case you guys haven't heard, Apple has annouced a new iPod. Design wise, the 4th iteration of iPod sports a click wheel as seen on iPod Minis. More significantly, the new iPod gains a boost in battery life (a whooping 50% increase from 8hrs to 12hrs) and even more noteworthy, it's a hundred buck cheaper.
Am I cursing myself for not waiting a few months longer so that I could get myself what is essentially a better and cheaper iPod? Truth be told, no. I'm glad to have a trusty companion without whom I wouldn't know how to get through boring bus rides, repetitive homework, strenuous jogs and collective hours dawdled waiting for one thing or another.
On shuffle mode, iPod can be so inspiring. Just the other day, I was raking my brain for stuff to write in my column when Hoobastank's The Reason came on by chance. The title is as catchy as the tune and it made for a good start for an article. Started writing and came up with something unexpected which I rather like. That wasn't the first time; this previous article of mine on public transportation gained life thanks to Counting Crows' Big Yellow Taxi.
You know what else is inspiring? These sites sure as fate are: Digitally Branded and PSYOP. Digitally Branded has to be the coolest website at the moment; it has a to-die-for FHM calender that you can flip through, an on-site mp3 player which plays catchy songs, and fonts you can download for free; all that in one neat design. I would love to see more clickables on the site though.
PSYOP, on the other hand, is an advertising company. It does kick-ass animations for a living and it's pretty good at them. Its site has an unique interface too; the pencil-sketched media player is definitely one of its kind.
Signing off for now. Will post entries when I can spare the time. Meanwhile, why not check out my links section for photoblogs and blogs I frequent?
