Took iPod on a test run. After making sure that I had had it strapped on securely to the side pocket of my shorts, I went jogging around the neighbourhood. Didn't experience any skips but couldn't jog that fast either with the iPod on my thigh.
At the pace I was going, I thought, I might as well amble; I ended up having to hold on to it to get a real workout. Having the iPod piping music to your ears while you're jogging is really something; you're so lost in the music that you forget about the usual pangs of tiredness in the legs. All you want to do is to keep running and running to the rhythm of the tunes. Ran twice around the route I frequent without any apparent effort.
iPod makes a fine workout companion; don't think my jogs will ever be the same without it. First thing first though; I need to get myself an armband. That will be a better idea than holding onto the iPod with my sweaty palm. I'm quite certain the armband is being sold at a price I'm not willing to cough up. That said, think I'll fashion one out of a less dough-demanding (read: cheap) book strap or something similar.
To get more music to load into my iPod, I turn now to MP3 Blogs. Owners of such blogs post songs from their playlist. It sounds dodgy, doesn't it? This guy here argues that it's in tandem with the concept of fair use. Not that I'm complaining. Great stuff can be found at FluxBlog and Copy, right?.
TV3 aired the pilot episode of Monk on Thursday. In case you haven't heard of the show, Monk is roughly a cross between CSI and Mr.Bean, only better. It's definitely something to look forward to every week.
Supporting fair use, I'm putting up the theme song of Monk here (no longer available for downloads) for your immediate listening pleasure. For a limited time only. Enjoy.
